Tasks

-Oversee administration of audits of the company’s facilities and compliance with implementation of the audit findings -Direct, manage and inspire a team of talented EHS leads and external consultants -Maintain and improve policies, guidelines, and operational procedures related to EHS -Teach and mentor other EHS professionals -Manages multiple tasks simultaneously; anticipates and plans around obstacles -Establish effective partnerships with business unit operations teams, collaborating cross-functionally, to ensure success and results attainment -Manage remediation sites: strategy, budget, and assessments -Develop and implement plans to achieve environmental sustainability goals for energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, solid waste, recyclables, & water stewardship -Identify and monitor safety and environmental regulatory changes that could affect the company’s operations and implement appropriate engagement and/or mitigation strategies -Develop, support, lead, and execute strategies to reduce: -Promote a shared vision for EHS Excellence -Develop and execute a strategy to centralize disparate fields of data to streamline reporting efforts -Develop and execute an overall program management and change management strategy -Prioritize and continually improve the company’s EHS compliance strategies and management systems -Implement programs/processes to ensure compliance with domestic & international EHS legislation

What You Bring

-Manages ambiguity when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear -Experience working with consultants and managing financial reserves to resolve legacy soil and groundwater remediation issues -Team player, comfortable operating within a dynamic and complex organizational structure and leading through influence -Working knowledge of safety and environmental compliance and sustainability data aggregation, sustainability reporting, and verification -Proven track record managing a team -Proven success setting and meeting operations EHS goals, including safety, energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, solid waste, and water use reduction -Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, EHS, or related field is required. An advanced degree with associated credentials is preferred (PE, CSP, etc.) -Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least five years developing and executing corporate-wide EHS programs -Manufacturing industry knowledge and experience -Demonstrated project management experience in a corporate function -Extensive knowledge of applicable US federal and state EHS regulations -Working knowledge of Mexican and Canadian environmental regulatory programs (preferred) -Strategic thinker, able to develop and execute a clear vision and strategy for Lennox’s EHS Department -Excellent analytical, project management, presentation, and influencing skills -Situational adaptability: adapts in real time to match shifting demands -Well organized, resourceful, and planful; effective and efficient at organizing multiple resources to get things done; meets objectives with time and resource efficiency -Builds and manages diverse relationships: open to differences; effective up, down, sideways; quick to find common ground; treat differences fairly and equitably; treat everyone as a customer -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal -Willingness to travel up to 25%
