Senior High Voltage Technician / Field Service Engineer

Tasks

-Provide leadership and supervision to technicians. -Commissioning, testing and maintaining Power Generation Systems. -Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV Substations secondary systems and primary plant -Provide technical support and training to technicians. -Commissioning, testing and maintaining Power Transformers. -Commissioning, testing and maintaining various HV/LV Plant/Assets.

What You Bring

-Proven experience in using the Omicron suite of equipment for secondary system testing. -Experience with IEC61850 and GOOSE messaging through IED Scout viewed favourably. -Knowledge of appropriate Australian and International Standards. -Preferable "A Grade" (Fitter and Mechanic) Electrical Workers License or Engineering Degree / Diploma in Power Systems would be highly regarded. -Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule and budget requirements. -Power Station experience viewed favourably. -HV Switching Ticket preferred. -Degree must be Engineers Australia recognised. -Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures. -Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV Protections systems / schemes, experience with IEC61850 / GOOSE communications is highly desirable -Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. -Competent in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, protection test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works. -Minimum 10 years' experience.
