Tasks
The Environmental Permit Compliance team deliver partnership support and assurance services to operational teams. They are responsible for the effective delivery of the end-to-end Environment Agency (EA) compliance inspection process and driving a proactive approach to environmental permit compliance across our operations. -Analyse and interpret permit compliance data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement -Coach and mentor team members, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture -Support the development and implementation of associated management systems and procedures -Provide technical and operational direction for meeting permit compliance -Develop and track improvement action plans to ensure compliance with environmental permits and internal performance targets -Lead and support a team of technical environmental permit compliance specialists to deliver team outputs, performance and service standards -Support team activities and deliverables such as CAR form responses, proactive site compliance audits, Environment Agency inspections and liaison -Collaborate with operational teams, asset management, permitting, and regulatory teams to deliver improvements

What You Bring
If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the security vetting process for either a Counter Terrorist Check or Security Check clearance. -Experience working in the WASC sector or operating within a regulated industry or framework -Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative working -Proven ability to influence across multiple levels of the business and externally -Experience in change management and conflict resolution -Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical and compliance information -Full UK driving licence and access to own car -In-depth understanding of wastewater processes, environmental permits and compliance -People management, coaching, mentoring and/or leadership experience -Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilitie
