Tasks

-Resolving Conflict -Engage in site safety inspections, coordinating corrections with all contractors -The Safety Manager is required to frequently stand, walk and climb stairs and ladders. -Establishes Priorities -Develop and implement safety measures/metrics for tracking and reporting safety performance of the General Contractor and subcontractors -Provide field presence and project support with coaching -Involvement in industry associations to promote the company as well as further personal education is required. -Reviews and oversees procedures for the investigation of construction related incidents and accidents -Maintain safety records while onsite full time -Advise Safety Director of safety compliance concerns and preventative actions -Develop and implement CDCC’s orientation procedures for a multi-lingual work site. -Monitor project activities with the review of the construction management team and design procedures, programs and policies affecting construction safety on projects -Conduct periodic safety inspections on job sites to ensure safety compliance -The majority of work completed on job sites is in the field. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions. -Provide general safety oversight and performance of both administrative and field safety management responsibilities -Assist in the development and acceptance of job hazard analysis and Project Specific Safety Plans (PSSP) -Ensure consistency with Federal, State and Local compliance with site-specific regulatory requirements

What You Bring

-Must have the ability to travel overnight when required -CPR Certified -Must be available and willing to work such weekends and Holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desired to meet the business needs -Authorized OSHA 500 Instructor preferred -Construction Health and Safety Technician preferred -3-5 years’ experience in commercial construction -Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as determined by management -OSHA 30-hour certification -Willingness to travel and/or relocate, as both may be required -1-3 years’ experience in safety and health program management is preferred
