Management of sample collection and documentation.
Monitor conformance with safety and emergency procedures.

Conduct behavior-based safety observations and coordinate internal Event Communication System activity.
Complete and maintain required training, including:
Ensure appropriate level of PPE is available and being used as required, as well as proper maintenance and sanitation of PPE.
Maintain records.
Exercise the authority to proceed with work after a stop-work order after receiving verification from Partner-in-Charge or H&S team.
Exercise the authority to stop work, which will be executed upon determination of an imminent safety hazard or potentially dangerous situation (e.g., weather conditions, where this action is necessary).
Collect asbestos samples in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines and industry best practices to ensure accurate analysis and compliance.
Conduct daily safety briefings with the project field team.
Verify communication systems are in place.
Serve as Asbestos Field Sampling Technician on assigned site investigation, remediation, and decommissioning/decontamination/demolition environmental construction projects and to implement site-specific Health & Safety Plans.
Oversee that safety equipment is maintained; establish and execute decontamination procedures.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
CPR/First Aid
Bachelors degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, biology, industrial hygiene, or a related discipline; Or the equivalency of 8+ years related experience in lieu of education (2 years for each 1 year of education), in addition to the required years of experience outlined below.
Incident investigation and root cause analysis
California Department of Public Health – Certified Lead Sampling Technician or Certified Lead Inspector / Assessor.
8-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Supervisor - desirable
California Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) - Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) or Certified Site Surveillance (CSST) Certification, current.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER - desirable
Good with computers including but not limited Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, etc.
Confined space and excavation awareness - desirable
2+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to travel within the state of California to client sites. As well as other states throughout the US based on business needs.

Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
