Principal P&C Engineer

Overview

Design and develop protection & control systems for 11-400kV substations.

Tasks

Ensure delivery within time, budget, and quality expectations. Provide technical support and respond to site queries, TQs, RFIs, etc. Produce specifications and P&C logic drawings for substations (11kV-400kV). Collaborate with designers, construction teams, and engineering colleagues. Uphold SHEQ standards and company quality processes. Support Senior Engineers/Team Leads in effective project delivery. Follow project plans and pathways set by senior staff. Work across both greenfield and brownfield substations. Cable schedules and sizing calculations Build strong working relationships internally and externally. What You Bring

Additional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH or specialist P&C training) beneficial. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with IET/IEE preferred. Familiarity with PSL logic and relay setting files. 4-5 years' experience in protection & control design, substation automation, and SCADA systems. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field (2:1 or above preferred). Master's degree advantageous. AC/DC schematics The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork, high-quality project delivery, and the ability to leverage professional networks for insight, collaboration, and new opportunities.
