Tasks

-Actively participate in national and international forums to represent the organization and stay engaged with global developments in transformer technology. -Mentor new designers and conduct both classroom and on-the-job training sessions. -Lead the electrical and mechanical design of power transformers, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as IS, IEC, and IEEE, while effectively managing the design team. -Drive innovation in transformer design, implement standardized design practices, and maintain a strong focus on design quality. -Stay updated with the latest industry trends and competitive benchmarks related to transformer design parameters. -Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tenders and projects, with support from senior designers. -Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for resolving design-related issues.

What You Bring

The candidate should have over 20 years of experience in the power transformer and reactor manufacturing industry, with expertise up to 765kV voltage class. B Tech in Electrical Engineering Proven leadership experience, having led a team of 25–30+ members in design and development functions. -Possess knowledge and experience in Ultra High Voltage (UHV) transformer designs. -Demonstrate proficiency in design analysis using specialized software tools such as ANSYS, electromagnetic simulation platforms, and power system analysis tools.
