Overview

Maintain and operate cement plant equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairs.

Tasks

-Inspects plant equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc. -Lubricates equipment. -Effective execution of the overhaul outage plan. -Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect. -Performs preventive and predictive maintenance. -Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, quality standards and company policies. -Responds to emergency call outs on an as needed basis.

What You Bring

-Ability to comply with all MSHA & CEMEX safety regulations and able to utilize all required PPE. -Ability to lift up to 25lbs frequently – 50-100lbs occasionally, climb stairs, and ladders. -Works out of crane basket and man-lift. -Must have understanding of plant flow and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. -Ability to read, write and communicate clearly. -Ability to work around electromagnetic fields generated by motors. -Must be able to do necessary lubrication, using proper lubricants and make minor repairs and adjustments -Ability to operate heavy equipment. -36-601.01).
