The Role
Overview
Collect field data for sanitary sewer surveys, perform inspections, tests, and line verification.

Tasks
-Perform material tests to determine material of water service lines -Manhole Inspections - record various structure attributes and identify defects. -Night Flow Isolations - measure wastewater flows during non-peak usage. -CCTV Inspections - record various pipeline attributes and identify defects. -Hardware and Software troubleshooting, support, repair, and testing. -Dye Testing - conduct dye water tracing and dye water flooding. -Smoke Testing - conduct smoke tests and record defects encountered. -Flow Monitoring - install & maintain open channel flow metering equipment. -Review data collected in field to ensure quality and accuracy of information. -Performing field investigations by collecting high quality and accurate data. -Perform manual excavations of water service lines

What You Bring
-Must be able to lift equipment up to 45 pounds at times. -Prolonged periods working in outdoor conditions in varying climates. -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Frequent overnight travel is required. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. -Must be able to travel. -Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and/or Trimble Products is preferred. -At least three years of SSES and Field Service experience preferred. -Multiple office locations to work from: Stick close to home or travel for a change of scenery -This position requires a lot of walking outside and climbing ladders year-round through various terrain and in extreme heat, cold, and immaculate weather. -Willing to work in and around open sanitary sewer lines. -Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with a team. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -High School diploma or GED is required. -Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Entry certification. -Should possess basic computer skills. -Prolonged periods working in outdoor conditions in varying terrain types. -Ability to work in Confined Spaces, including sanitary sewer manholes. -Ability to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Entry certification is required. -Experience with data collection for SSES or other underground utilities. -Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record, drug test, and criminal record. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
