The Role
Overview
Architect/designer for client‑side property development, overseeing design to delivery

Tasks
You will work alongside architects-turned-developers, gain the knowledge to see your designs built, and lay the foundation for a long-term career in design-led property development. You will join the in-house design team, with a clear pathway to Project Manager within 6 to 12 months. As you grow, you will take full ownership of your own projects, lead design coordination, and eventually build and manage a small team of assistants and designers that you will play a part in hiring giving you even more exposure and a stake in the business. -Attend and lead site meetings, supporting live project delivery. -Support feasibility, planning and pre-construction design reviews. -Produce detailed technical, interiors, and joinery drawings. -Coordinate directly with consultants, suppliers and contractors. -Contribute to both architectural and project management activities with growing autonomy. -Develop and coordinate Revit-based design packages across RIBA Stages 2 to 5

What You Bring
If you are an architect or designer who thrives on seeing designs and ideas being built, and wants to understand how great projects are conceived, financed and delivered, this is a rare opportunity to move client-side and work with a design-led property developer delivering its own portfolio of London schemes. This role would particularly suit someone with a genuine interest in property development... perhaps you have already completed your own renovation/private project or have ambitions to do so in the future. This role offers a rare chance to learn how to think like a developer while working as an Architect... understanding the balance between creativity, delivery and commercial strategy. -Strong Revit proficiency, including the ability to set up rudimentary BIM models. -Highly motivated, proactive and detail-oriented. -Experience in retrofit, conversion or adaptive reuse. -A natural problem-solver with a genuine interest in property development and a desire to grow beyond traditional architecture. -Confident working across both architecture and interiors. -Ideally 4 to 5+ years’ of UK based industry experience. -Proven experience working on smaller-scale residential or mixed-use projects in London.

You will gain genuine exposure to the commercial realities of development, understanding how design decisions influence value, programme and buildability, while working directly alongside the founders, a team of experienced architect-developers and property investment specialists. -Part 3 Support: Full financial and mentoring support to complete qualification. -Projects: Exposure to live London projects and developments valued between £2.5m to £10m. -Career Progression: Clear path to Project Manager / Project Lead within 12 months. -Salary: £42,500 to £50,000 (flexible depending on experience). -Hands-on exposure through your own private renovation or development project. -Environment: Office-based, 5 days per week, with flexibility for remote work when appropriate (eg after site visits).
