The Role

Overview

Assist in drainage design using AutoCAD, develop concepts and presentation exhibits.

Tasks

-Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Develop presentation exhibits using AutoCAD -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Develop Water resources/drainage design concepts using AutoCAD -Investigate alternate intersection/interchange concepts

What You Bring

-Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel. -Be willing to fully participate in job assignments at the job site, district office or department to which the intern is assigned -Coursework in transportation, and AutoCAD software -Good written and verbal communication skills. -GPA above 3.0 preferred -Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Regular, reliable attendance -Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree with a focus on hydraulics or hydrology courses
