Tasks

As MD you will have full accountability for the operational and financial performance of the business. Reporting to the Group CEO, you will lead all aspects of manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and commercial activity. -Build and mentor a cohesive leadership team to support long-term growth. -Represent the business within the wider Group, contributing to strategic planning and collaboration. -Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus. -Provide clear operational leadership and direction to the management team and workforce. -Maintain and enhance health, safety, and environmental standards. -Manage P&L, budgets, and capital investment to meet commercial targets. -Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives across production, quality, and delivery. -Successfully deliver a new factory on time and budget and ramp up production

What You Bring

-Demonstrable record of delivering operational efficiency and margin improvement, scaling production and developing an external market strategy to deliver growth in turnover. After all, there’s no point in manufacturing more if they can’t sell them! -Skilled in people leadership, change management, and cross-functional collaboration. -Proven experience as an MD in a manufacturing business, ideally within construction-related capital equipment. Experience with steel fabrication with integrated M&E is particularly interesting -Strong commercial understanding and financial management capability.
