Maintenance Mechanic

Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems, ensuring compliance with standards.

Tasks

-Evaluate vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with regard to quality and competitive pricing -Maintenance of the equipment will include cleaning, inspecting, calibrating and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels. -Review work ticket service request reporting to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems -Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description -Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace -Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors. -Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance and technical proficiency. -Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment -Perform maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards and SLAs/KPIs as assigned. -Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory

What You Bring

-Strong Customer Service skills -Must demonstrate competency with a variety of inspection, maintenance and repair activities. -Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required -Must be able to use power and hand tools applicable for the work -Coursework in building trades preferred -3rd Party Certification preferred -High school diploma or GED equivalent -Must have excellent oral and written communication skills -Have a minimum of 3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical -Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work on ladders at heights up to 30ft -Strong Interpersonal skills -Must be able for Call-in work and perform other duties as required
