Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Develop and manage material and vendor subcontracts for the project. Interface with Engineering and/or construction teams to provide insight about status of cost, quality and schedule for materials/equipment for your assigned project(s). -Develop and maintain vendor relationships and manage supplier-specific vendor template negotiations. -Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution and site purchasing levels. -Work to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues. -Assist in the development of company-wide procurement templates and assist in negotiating high-risk contracts for various projects. -Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. -Support procurement staff meetings and provide legal communication to the team as needed. -Leverage vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings to projects. -Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.

What You Bring

-SAP Experience a plus. InEight Software experience (or similar) highly desired -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time -Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and general knowledge of database utilization -General understanding of all areas of procurement is desirable, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, and site purchasing. -Regular, reliable attendance -Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative with strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships. -3+ years experience working for an EPC company, in the oil/gas/petrochemical market in contracts administration/management.
