Tasks
-Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design. -Review and comment on the work performed by the others to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation. -Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs including ANSYS, SAP2000, ACS SASSI and other structural programs. -Prepare technical specification documents. -Ensure Compliance with applicable Codes, Standards and Regulations, and ensuring the adequacy of design for permits and compliance with approved plans. -Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management. -Participate in formal engineering design and other reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question. -Accountable for the delivering all engineering deliverables/task to achieve project objectives within specified timelines and budgets. -Check the work performed meets the quality requirements in accordance with Company QA programs and manuals. -Provide technical instructions to Junior staff or designers to develop engineering documentation. -Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents and compile engineering packages. -Perform plant walkdowns as and if required in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modifications. -Prepare Engineering estimate and technical write-up for proposals.

What You Bring
-Must have experience with seismic analysis of structures and foundations. -Eligible to be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada. Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. -Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. -Deep and thorough understanding of structural analysis and seismic analysis. -Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget. -Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is desired. -Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering. -Must have thorough knowledge of use of finite element analysis software. -Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable. -Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset. -Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
