Maintain and repair heavy‑duty trucks, trailers and yard equipment for GFL Environmental.

Tasks

-Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists T -Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, disassemble, inspects and replace worn or broken parts -Perform preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery on heavy duty/diesel trucks -Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, cooling systems, exhaust, brakes, suspensions, lights, etc on a variety of yard equipment, heavy duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment -Diagnose and repair engines and engine support systems, steering, suspension and brake systems and hydraulic and pneumatic systems -Participate in the after hours on call rotation -Write service reports and record analysis

What You Bring

-Required to work in all weather conditions and be able to perform physical tasks and duties such as lifting, climbing, hose movement, etc. -Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly -Must have Truck and Transport Red Seal certification, or be nearing completion of Red Seal requirements -Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record -Diagnose faults and malfunctions
