Public Safety Officer Swing Shift / Floating Shift( Part-time )

Overview

Ensures safety, inspects property, reports incidents, and collaborates with law enforcement.

Tasks

-Occasional driving for company purposes may be required within the metropolitan area. -Completes necessary reports for repair and/or replacement of public safety related equipment, to the Director/Chief of Public Safety in a timely manner. -Develops relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, to facilitate -Attends daily roll call briefings regarding safety related information. -Attends debriefs with those involved in critical incidents to review tactical considerations. -Ensures common areas, parking lots and properties are routinely inspected for safety hazards -Informs the next shift is adequately briefed of all necessary incidents involving operational safety. -Completes daily logs and incident reports. -Maintain operational awareness of local and national events that may be of concern to any -Collaborates with contractors for the benefit of preserving traffic flow and public safety. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or

What You Bring

-Willingness to engage in quarterly firearms training to maintain efficiency. -Demonstrates consistency in high values, principles, and work ethic. -The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Willingness to achieve and maintain Level 3 New Mexico Security Officer certification. -Willingness to carry and deploy with a firearm in the necessary defense of human life. -Willingness to conduct interviews, write factual reports, and interact with law enforcement. -Dependable, self-motivated, punctual, and efficient in handling work assignments. -Minimum of two (1) years of previous experience performing the essential functions of this -Must be able to drive a patrol vehicle while on property. -Willingness to perform dynamically during rapidly evolving dangerous situations. -Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments. -Able to work with a diverse group of people in the pursuit of the best outcomes. -Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload necessary to accomplish safety related positive outcomes. -Will have prolonged periods of standing. -Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. -Professional appearance and manner. -Must have open availability, including the ability to work days, swings, graves, weekends, and holidays as needed. -The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. -Work is sometimes performed outdoors with exposure to the elements including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other weather conditions. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating and maintenance instructions, -Strong management/supervisory skills. -Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. -Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills required. -Willingness to follow the chain-of-command and obey written, as well as verbal orders. -Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners, peers, and subordinates. -A valid New Mexico driver's license, vehicle insurance, good driving record and reliable vehicle.
