Provide building automation controls programming, commissioning, and support for HVAC systems.

Tasks

-Provide accurate controls of systems start-up and commissioning including point-to-point checkout on projects as assigned.  Verify correct alarm, annunciation, and other actions by equipment, devices, panels, and annunciators of Controls projects. -Provide support to Climatec and other contractors to solve building operating issues that go beyond the controls or special systems operation. -Support installation personnel on project sites in and surrounding the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. -Provide hands-on support for other contractors on a physical, in-person project site. -An advanced understanding of providing service support to existing installations, ensuring compliance with building occupancy codes and ongoing efficient operation. -Debug installation issues during both the static and dynamic start up and commissioning of building controls. -Provide input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, installation, start up, commissioning, and training for building systems. -Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle. -Provide building automation controls database, graphics, programming, etc. for sequences as provided by the Design Specialist, project specifications, or other applicable sources. (Distech, Alerton, Tridium, experience preferred) -Assist Sales team during estimating phase including potential product or system demonstrations. -Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner. -Travel to allocated job sites, in-person, to complete start-up, commissioning and assistance to onsite personnel to properly complete the assigned task(s). -Assist in turnover of projects from Operations Team to Service Team. -Provide service support on existing systems ensuring their proper and efficient operation as well as providing ongoing support to the facility’s building engineers. -Provide start up documentation including daily logs, check out logs, commissioning documents, etc. as required for assigned projects. -Assist in preparing of as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.

What You Bring

-2 years of mechanical aptitude working in or with HVAC Controls, Building Automation Controls (Distech, Alerton, Tridium), or HVAC Programming. -2 years of experience in HVAC building automation controls required. -Experience with HVAC programming and controls database management. -Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl. -Ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams. -Understanding of AC power circuitry including breakers and multi-phase power (120VAC and greater). -3+ years’ experience working with building automation programming and controls database management. -Be able to lift and carry ladders, fire extinguishers, drawings, personal computers, material, etc. -Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site. -Be able to lift up to 75lbs. -An advanced ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams. -Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. -Proficiency with electronic testing equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and oscilloscopes. -2-year technical degree in HVAC or Electronics-related studies preferred. -Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent. -3+ years’ experience with Distech, Alerton, or Tridium controls systems. -Be able to spend significant time standing and walking.
