Tasks

-Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. -Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. -Assist project managers with takeoffs and pricing changes in work -Prepare scope letters and proposals -Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products. -Maintain relationships with customers, General Contractors, vendors and subcontractors -Ensure documents are centrally saved in the company’s drive within the confidential estimating folder(s) -Review contract and bid documents; review and understand scope for project turnover -Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. -Maintain knowledge of current industry standards, trends, and regulations. -Consult with clients, vendors, and employees in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. -Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. -Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. -Attend walk-throughs, pre-bid and scope clarification meetings

-Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents. -Will use: Bluebeam, Egnyte, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), and Cosential CRM software. -Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail. -Ability to perform design/build, conceptual and budget estimates -Quantitative take-off and computer entry -Knowledge of Conest Estimating Software preferred. -Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. -Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. -Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices. -Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. -5+ years of experience in electrical estimating or related field.
