Tasks

-Close out bids and assist in preparation of supporting documentation -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Perform site visit(s) and meets with owners and designers if required -Prepare budgetary estimates -Prepare construction schedule and perform cash-flow analyses -Prepare take-offs -From time to time, visits projects, and prepares cost analyses -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Establishes means and methods of construction and performs engineering analyses to support -Analyze plans and specifications -Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors -Prepare costs analysis for certain or all portions of the projects

What You Bring

-Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language -Supervisory experience preferred -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Marine Construction with at least 3 years in estimating preferred -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management required -Proficient skills in standard computer software packages -Regular, reliable attendance
