Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Oversee contractor management processes, emergency preparedness, and statutory inspections (e.g. LOLER, PUWER, LEV, Legionella, Fire Safety, DSEAR). -Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction targets. -Maintain and improve the quality management system, coordinating internal audits and management reviews. -Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, providing thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions. -Coordinate and deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks to promote awareness and competency across the workforce. -Conduct and review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), ensuring effective controls are implemented and communicated. -Promote a proactive HSEQ culture through visible leadership, engagement, and collaboration across teams. -Monitor and report on HSEQ performance metrics, identifying trends and driving continual improvement. -Represent the business during external audits, client meetings, and regulatory inspections. -Lead the development and implementation of HSEQ strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.

What You Bring

-Experience developing and delivering effective HSEQ training and awareness programmes. -Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive performance. -Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems (45001, 14001, and 9001) and regulatory compliance requirements. -Confident communicator able to influence at all levels and build positive relationships across departments. -Proven experience in an HSEQ leadership role within an operational, engineering, or technical environment. -Leadership capability to coach, mentor, and support colleagues within the HSEQ function and wider business. -Skilled in conducting audits, inspections, and investigations with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement. -Demonstrated commitment to embedding safety, quality, and sustainability in day-to-day operations.
