  • Collaborate with members of the engineering team as well as project managers from other disciplines
  • Participate in site surveys (stations and power stations)
  • Supervise the development of AC and DC station service power systems, including single-line diagrams, AC & DC load calculations, AC & DC distribution diagrams, connection drawings of chargers, batteries, inverter, etc.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines: equipment, civil, mechanical and building to develop design solutions for optimized and advanced substation and power plant systems
  • Perform QA/QC of the electrical engineering design packages
  • Design and review the protection and control drawings of substation systems and power systems
  • Responsible of the development of electrical Command and Protection systems, including single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, three-line AC diagrams, protection and c.c. control diagrams, wiring drawings, device connection drawings, assembly plans, material lists and quotes for the manufacturing and installation on site of Control and Protection panels

  • 3+ years' experience in detailed P&C design with major and/or local utilities in Canada
  • Good knowledge of protection and control principles and philosophies is mandatory
  • Basic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Work experience in the design of electrical systems
  • 5+ years of experience working on P&C projects
  • Registered (or eligible to register as) member of a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada.
  • University Degree in Electrical engineering recognized in Canada
