The Role

Overview

Prepare and maintain cricket wickets and turf surfaces at Centennial Parklands.

Tasks

-Assist with outfield maintenance, irrigation management, and seasonal renovation. -Manage soil profiles, moisture levels, and turf health for consistent performance. -Conduct pitch preparation, rolling, watering, mowing, scarifying, and topdressing schedules. -Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives. -Operate and maintain turf and wicket-specific machinery. -Prepare and maintain turf wickets and practice facilities to competition and event standards. -Work collaboratively to plan schedules around weather, fixtures, and turf cycles.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of turf agronomy, irrigation, soil management, and seasonal cycles. -Current driver’s licence (MR licence desirable). -Certificate III (or higher) in Sports Turf Management or equivalent qualification. -Demonstrated experience in cricket wicket preparation and turf curation. -White Card (desirable). -Genuine pride in producing premium playing surfaces. -A proactive, safety-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
