The Role

Overview

Remote Traffic/ITS Engineer providing analysis, design, and ITS project support for Midwest/Southwest.

Tasks

-Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects. -Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works -Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation -Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities -Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants -Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards -Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation -Support a team of professionals to deliver: -Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. -Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.

What You Bring

-Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work. -Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms. -Preferred minimum 7 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects. -Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design. -BA/BS and 6 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Good written and verbal communication skills -Professional Engineering (PE) License or Professional Traffic Operations Engineering (PTOE) License -Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required.
