Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Assist in develop specifications and administer contracts for the furnishing and installation of fire alarm systems, water-based suppression systems, gaseous suppression systems, underground fire mains and fire pumps. -Assist in the development of fire protection design and fire hazard analysis for industrial facility job sites in order to determine hazards and designate appropriate active and passive fire protection schemes. -Review the elements of the facility related to life safety and means of egress. -Assist in the application of building and fire code requirements (primarily IBC/IFC), applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and other codes and standards for various projects. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Coordination with interdisciplinary project teams to ensure the quality of the design, installation, and operation of the fire protection systems.
