Tasks

-Maintain accurate records of installations, service, maintenance, and refrigerant usage. -Supervise the installation of indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant piping, and electrical connections, ensuring proper refrigerant charge levels. -Lead the commissioning process for the VRV and DX systems, ensuring the systems are operating as per design specifications. -Oversee the installation and testing of valves such as expansion valves, solenoid valves, and isolation valves in VRV and DX systems. -Lead, supervise, and guide a team of HVAC technicians and mechanical helpers for the installation and maintenance of VRV and DX systems. -Ensure the correct installation of liquid and gas line valves for proper system functionality. -Conduct regular quality control inspections, ensuring all components are correctly installed and function as intended. -Enforce the adherence to safety regulations and procedures, ensuring all work is done in a safe and compliant manner. -Oversee the installation of ducting for air distribution, ensuring proper airflow, pressure, and energy efficiency. -Oversee the complete installation process of VRV and DX air conditioning units, including refrigerant line connections, piping, and power wiring. -Delegate tasks and manage the workflow, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. -Conduct pressure testing of refrigerant lines to detect leaks and ensure system integrity. -Supervise the coordination of electrical power supply to units, including power cables, control wiring, and ensuring proper grounding. -Ensure correct handling and installation of refrigerant piping, charging of refrigerants (R-410A, R-32, etc.), and maintaining accurate refrigerant pressure levels. -Ensure that all electrical connections are carried out as per manufacturer specifications and electrical standards. -Ensure that the installation and maintenance of the systems meet the highest quality standards and are compliant with industry codes. -Ensure integration of the VRV and DX systems with the building’s electrical distribution panels and circuit breakers. -Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding refrigerant use and recovery. -Oversee routine maintenance of VRV and DX units, including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting power connections. -Provide guidance on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure team safety during installation and maintenance work. -Verify valve settings and calibration to meet operational specifications. -Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with system performance, including compressor failure, airflow problems, refrigerant leaks, or electrical faults. -Ensure air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and VAVs are properly connected to the VRV or DX systems. -Submit detailed reports on system performance, issues encountered, and resolutions. -Perform system checks, including refrigerant charging, airflow testing, and temperature checks, ensuring optimal performance.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in installing and servicing refrigerant-based systems and associated components (piping, valves, control units). -Technical degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in the HVAC industry. -Ability to provide clear instructions, report technical issues, and explain system performance to clients. -Ability to manage unexpected system failures and troubleshoot in real-time. -Leadership: Proven ability to lead and supervise teams, ensuring high standards of installation and maintenance are met.Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, other trades, project managers, and clients. -Strong analytical skills to assess system performance, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions for improving system reliability and energy usage. -Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills -At least 5 years of experience in HVAC system installation and maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.. -Refrigerant Handling & Charging: Experience in managing refrigerant charge (R-410A, R-32, or others), leak testing, and system evacuation. -Experience in Electrical Systems: Strong understanding of electrical systems for VRV and DX units, including wiring, circuit breakers, and control systems integration. -Certification in HVAC systems (e.g., HVAC Technician Certificate, Certified Energy Manager (CEM)) is an advantage. -Power Coordination & Installation: Ability to coordinate power supplies, including correct wiring, voltage control, and breaker sizing for HVAC units. -In-depth knowledge of VRV and DX systems, including refrigeration cycles, expansion valves, compressors, and power control systems. -Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills for electrical, refrigerant, and airflow-related issues in VRV and DX systems. -HVAC System Integration: Experience in integrating VRV and DX systems with other building systems, including BMS (Building Management System).
