Sr BAS Technician

Tasks

-Provide commissioning verification checklists to the Project Manager throughout the commissioning process to ensure smooth project delivery. -Simulate sequences of operations to verify proper system parameters and optimize performance using the necessary software tools. -Assist in preparing project specifications and reports by collecting and compiling data as requested by the Project or BAS Manager. -Program and create graphics for HVAC equipment using BAS software, verifying system performance and functionality. -Use technical manuals and documentation to calibrate electrical and electronic equipment as needed. -Verify the installation and operation of electrical and electronic equipment related to the BAS throughout the project lifecycle. -Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members to build project execution capacity. -Test, inspect, and troubleshoot low-voltage power equipment, network communications, peripherals, valves, actuators, relays, and sensors during project commissioning. -Perform inspections, tests, adjustments, and evaluations of low-voltage electronic components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and tolerances. -Integrate building automation software with third-party systems via network connections and protocols. -Commission BAS systems, verifying end-to-end functionality and resolving any anomalies. -Plan, develop, and lead junior team members, providing mentorship and technical guidance in support of the BAS Manager.

-Certified in multiple Manufacturer Programming Software Tools. -Strong communication skills. -Ability to work in a process driven environment. -Proven ability to effectively mentor and train employees. -Networking certification. -Proven ability to self-learn, utilize and transfer to appropriate team members in an effort to enhance overall team awareness of existing and new technologies. -Minimum of 7+ years related experience. -Technician, diploma Technologist diploma or Engineering degree in a related technological field to BAS. -Superior time management and multi-tasking abilities. -Strong interpersonal skills. -Strong understanding of HVAC equipment/mechanical components and how they relate to control strategies and theories. -Extensive knowledge of multiple system integration strategies and applications. -Certified in Tridium Niagara AX – N4. -Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation. -Extensive knowledge of network wiring standards and protocols. -The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. -Strong understanding of HVAC equipment & mechanical components and how it is related to control strategies and theories. -Extensive knowledge and experience with BAS system installations.
