Tasks

-Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement through digital technology. -Innovation at Scale: Drive smarter, engineering-led solutions that deliver long-term performance and value. -Lead the authoring and development of 3D models, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and agreed levels of detail. -Monitor progress and deliverables to agreed deadlines. -Organise training, workshops, and regular communications to embed digital engineering best practice. -Present and promote digital engineering solutions to internal teams, alliance partners, and the client. -Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across multiple stakeholder groups. -Impactful Work: Lead digital engineering on one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile clean energy projects. -Preservation, structural repairs, renovation and optimization of structures. -Ensure digital engineering outputs align with VSL’s scope and client requirements. -Support the achievement of Digital Engineering, Project Certainty, and Digital Horizon objectives. -Act as a mentor for discipline-specific digital engineering responsibilities. -Set up and implement digital engineering processes across all project stages (bid, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover). -Drive the development of VSL staff capabilities in digital tools and processes. -Influence project-specific solutions to deliver value through digital methods.

What You Bring

-Proven experience in digital engineering, BIM, or similar roles within construction or infrastructure. -Expertise in 3D modelling and digital engineering platforms. -Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and data management. -Strong communication and influencing skills; confident in presenting digital solutions. -Strong background in implementing digital tools and processes across large-scale projects. -Ability to manage digital workflows across project stages. -Analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to delivery. -Collaborative and adaptable, able to work across multiple stakeholder groups. -Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
