Tasks

In this role, you'll provide guidance, training, and leadership within the Manufacturing Sourcing Group and for initiatives and projects of which the group is a part of. -Providing performance evaluations (MAP Reviews) and other Human Resource functions as required -Ensure Project Coordinators are keeping SCPO/Metaviewer up to date and providing notes for review -The sourcing and qualifying of commodity equipment (little to no engineering modifications required) -Provide, receive, and communicate current market availability and lead times related to the equipment and services that are in the Group’s scope -Project Procurement AdministrationSetting up the project financial budget on Procore for the applicable Equipment and Services in Scope for the Sourcing GroupInitiating commitments and vendor administration communication once the commitments are executed -Training of new Team hires and cross training of existing Haskell employees to ensure adherence to established process and procedures -Lead the development, documentation, and training of strategic sourcing practices including the following:The sourcing and qualifying of commodity equipment (little to no engineering modifications required)The sourcing and qualifying of highly engineered equipment (project specific)The sourcing and qualifying of subcontractors for servicesDevelop and implement best practices for the sourcing information storage across the different Groups and Software PlatformsThe Request for Proposal (RFP) process associated with the Services and Equipment the Sourcing Group is responsible forThe best practices and procedures for documentation to be included in executed purchase orders, contracts and agreementsReview and identification of potential issues with the Supplier’s Terms and Conditions -Initiating commitments and vendor administration communication once the commitments are executed -Determine and monitor priorities of tasks assigned to the Team and report on the progress compared to the expected date of completion -Review and identification of potential issues with the Supplier’s Terms and Conditions -Identify opportunities to help Haskell reduce expenses and/or provide savings while minimizing risk in the sourcing process. Be an integral part of the initial design and ongoing improvement of Strategic Sourcing Process and Guidelines -Categorize and evaluate vendors utilizing financial, schedule, safety and quality data, on site interviews, site audits, post project reviewsCollaborate with the Pre-Con Group where applicable and maintain a listing of preferred vendors, suppliers and subcontractors based on defined criteria -Develop and implement best practices for the sourcing information storage across the different Groups and Software Platforms -Align the Sourcing and Pre-Cons financial budget and account structures for efficient flow and review of the information -Setting up the project financial budget on Procore for the applicable Equipment and Services in Scope for the Sourcing Group -As part of the larger Sourcing group, visit important vendors, manufacturing and assembly facilities to verify adherence to Haskell’s standards, address issues and identify / leverage opportunities -Collaborate with the Pre-Con Group where applicable and maintain a listing of preferred vendors, suppliers and subcontractors based on defined criteria -Lead Sourcing initiatives to initiate and participate in the negotiation of Master Supply Agreements with primary and preferred Subcontractors and Vendors -PreCon coordination Provide, receive, and communicate current market and project pricing information related to the equipment and services that are in the Group’s scopeProvide, receive, and communicate current market availability and lead times related to the equipment and services that are in the Group’s scopeAlign the Sourcing and Pre-Cons financial budget and account structures for efficient flow and review of the information -Provide periodic updates to leadership on sourcing strategy and progress updates -Provide, receive, and communicate current market and project pricing information related to the equipment and services that are in the Group’s scope -The Request for Proposal (RFP) process associated with the Services and Equipment the Sourcing Group is responsible for -The sourcing and qualifying of subcontractors for services -Assist project teams with Terms and Conditions negotiations to get to executed contract with Vendor and Suppliers with consideration of the Agreement with Haskell and our Client -Supervise and lead the project coordinator team which will involve:PreCon coordination Provide, receive, and communicate current market and project pricing information related to the equipment and services that are in the Group’s scopeProvide, receive, and communicate current market availability and lead times related to the equipment and services that are in the Group’s scopeAlign the Sourcing and Pre-Cons financial budget and account structures for efficient flow and review of the information Project Procurement AdministrationSetting up the project financial budget on Procore for the applicable Equipment and Services in Scope for the Sourcing GroupInitiating commitments and vendor administration communication once the commitments are executedAccounts Payable coordinationEnsure Project Coordinators are keeping SCPO/Metaviewer up to date and providing notes for reviewDetermine and monitor priorities of tasks assigned to the Team and report on the progress compared to the expected date of completionProviding performance evaluations (MAP Reviews) and other Human Resource functions as requiredTraining of new Team hires and cross training of existing Haskell employees to ensure adherence to established process and proceduresOther duties as needed for sourcing for projects -The sourcing and qualifying of highly engineered equipment (project specific) -Build and implement a templated approach for sourcing activities to identify scope boundaries and responsibilities for the Manufacturing Group and the Project Teams to align on the required and expected deliverables -Accounts Payable coordinationEnsure Project Coordinators are keeping SCPO/Metaviewer up to date and providing notes for review -Coordinate with the Risk Management, Legal, Project Management and Pre-Construction to maintain and communicate required changes to published Sourcing documents and procedures on SharePoint -Supplement other roles in the Sourcing Group on an as needed basis

What You Bring

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. -Proven success managing long-lead electrical packages such as: -Experience with value engineering and alternative sourcing strategies. -Strong understanding of electrical equipment specifications, drawings, and submittals. -Experience supporting design-build or EPC project delivery models is highly preferred. -Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Business Administration (or similar technical degree) with minimum 5 years project experience. -Knowledge of NEC, UL requirements, and relevant electrical codes/standards. -Familiarity with large-scale construction sequencing and long-lead electrical equipment procurement. -Datacenter experience a plus
