Tasks
-Oversee construction quality control, inspection coordination, and evaluation of special inspection reports. -Balance multiple projects and staff assignments, optimizing workload and ensuring high-quality delivery. -Support engineering team development through mentorship, performance oversight, and legacy knowledge transfer. -Oversee and manage schedules for all structural engineering deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met across multiple projects. -Oversee and enforce quality assurance processes, ensuring designs, drawings, and calculations meet project scope, standards, and internal procedures. -Lead client relationship management from a technical and engineering perspective, ensuring expectations and deliverables are fully aligned. -Manage scope changes or discrepancies, ensuring transparency and alignment with client expectations. -Manage RFIs and provide technical support to address construction issues efficiently. -Guide technical design development for structural systems, project specifications, and interdisciplinary coordination. -Provide contract support, including scope review and coordination of change orders. -Plan and conduct site visits, offering technical field support and resolution of field conditions to avoid delays. -Lead postmortem and lessons-learned meetings, applying feedback for continuous process improvement. -Collaborate with Signing Engineers, Modeler Managers, and Engineering Oversight to align resources strategically with business objectives. -Maintain accurate project documentation—including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications—for internal and client use. -Direct the review and coordination of shop drawings and submittals, ensuring timely and accurate responses. -Review and approve internal design documents to ensure compliance with scope, budget, and quality requirements. -Assign and manage engineering team responsibilities, monitoring progress to ensure efficient workload distribution. -Lead internal and external coordination meetings to align engineering priorities with project objectives.

What You Bring
-Experienced in steel, concrete, and other material design -16-20 years' experience in structural engineering -PE Licensed -Proficient with structural engineering software, such as RAM, RISA3-D, and SAP2000. -Ability to pay close attention to detail, while working with a team to deliver high quality of work -Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills -Excellent oral, written communication/presentation skills -Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering with structural emphasis, at ABET accredited university
