Lead on‑site technical and admin supervision of road/bridge construction projects in Florida.

Tasks

-Responsible for: Reviewing programs for conformance with FDOT standards. -Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration -Oversees and assigns specific tasks to administrative staff, contract support specialists and inspectors -Responsible for: Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures; -Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders and with clients -Responsible for: Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program; -Lead and support the effort to identify, market and win upcoming work assignments from various clients throughout South Florida. -Responsible for: Planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members; -Establish and maintain working relationships with clients including governmental and private entities -Performs internal quality assurance reviews between assignments to promote contract compliance and evaluate CEI staff -Oversees all phases of the construction projects -CTQP Final Estimates Level 1 and Level 2

What You Bring

-Ten (10) years of engineering experience in construction of major road and bridge structures -Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course -Ability to: Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) -Experience having performed roadway and bridge project related duties in the State of Florida Florida (i.e. Materials Acceptance and Certification System (MAC), AASHTOWare PrC, EEO compliance, processing of Supplemental Agreements and/or work orders, progress and final estimates, reviewing and recommending field changes). -Exercises initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems -FDOT Advanced MOT certification -Experience supporting FDOT and/or other local municipal/county construction programs -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar) -Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination -Must be familiar with FDOT Specifications and procedures -Actively registered in the State of Florida as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) -Florida project administration experience required
