Tasks

-Preparing and analysing tender documentation, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates. -Ensuring compliance with Turner & Townsend's quality management systems and procedures. -Monitoring and reporting on project costs, including cash flow forecasting and cost-to-complete analyses. -Utilising CostX software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost estimating and reporting. -Conducting thorough risk assessments and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality. -Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. -Staying across industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact project costs. -Representing Turner & Townsend at client meetings and industry events, upholding our strong reputation and values. -Providing expert cost management services across various stages of construction projects, particularly for government agencies such as the Department of Education, Defence, and Health. -Contributing to business development initiatives and proposal writing to secure new projects and clients. -Participating in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance your expertise in cost management practices. -Developing and maintaining detailed cost plans, from initial concept through to project completion, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client budgets. -Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to ensure best value for our clients.

What You Bring

-Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed cost reports. -Previous experience working on construction projects for Government agencies such as Dept of Education, Defence and Health (highly desirable). -Experience liaising or managing clients, contractors, and consultants. -Excellent knowledge of Australian construction standards, building codes, and regulations. -3-10+ years of experience in cost management roles, ideally in a consultancy environment. -Proven track record of delivering accurate cost plans and budgets for large-scale projects. -Ability to work effectively in a team environment -Proficiency in CostX software. -Preferable RICS and/or AIQS accreditation. -Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar field. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
