Hardware Design Engineer

Description

• Review of Technical specification of DCS Cabinets and Designing the cabinets to meet the customer specification. Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience in similar field. At least 3 years of professional work experience in Automation Proposals (DCS/ ESD/ FGS) for process industries in any one of the domains like Oil & Gas/ Refineries/ Petrochemicals.
• Experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Design, implementation, Test, Installation, Commissioning & Start-up of an Integrated Control & Safety System and Process Power Management (PPM) system in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Refining or Power & Water Industry with focus on efficiency improvements.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Experience with the ABB 800xA System including power and grounding requirements, field cabling requirements and field wiring “typical” for IO signals, equipment, installation, connection, power-up and site acceptance testing.
• Experience in Preparation of deliverables - System Architecture, Bill of materials, General Arrangement Drawings, Schematic etc.
• Full-time Bachelors degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering discipline
• Ability to determine most technical appropriate and cost-effective solutions during proposal
