Manufacturing Team Lead

Tasks

-Identify non-value added waste within the manufacturing process and recommend cost effective solutions to eliminate waste -Ensure that all quality requirements are met and that all team members are adhering to these requirements daily -Train and mentor technical team members using a hands-on approach to ensure the team members are able to learn the techniques required to troubleshoot -Responsible for running the assembly team from a process standpoint and communicating issues with the supervisor/manager as required. -Provide updates on unit findings with engineering and manufacturing teams -Responsible for maintaining on-the-floor manufacturing activities while ensuring that they are performed in a safe manner and in accordance with EHS policies and procedures -Cycle counts and inventory management -Report and attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor. -Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices

-Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and lead teams -Must have manual dexterity. -Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate cross-functionally -Experience completing station audits -Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) -Experience creating standardized work -Must be flexible to work fluctuating schedules if needed -Must be able to lift 15 lbs. -Highly motivated self-starter and team player -High school diploma required, AA degree preferred -Must demonstrate safe work practices and attention to detail -Experience completing process technician responsibilities preferred -Familiar with lean manufacturing terminology principles -Oracle transactions and IOTs for material movement between plants and processes -Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
