  • Interact with other engineers, contractors, fabricators, and government agencies
  • Manage multi-discipline design and construction projects
  • Perform project control tasks, including project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Create structural design drawings, calculations, and details
  • Provide direct onsite field observations and resolve field conflicts in real time
  • Perform structural analysis and design for residential, multi-family, retail, and light commercial structures, as well as retaining wall foundations

  • Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
  • Understanding of other disciplines, such as, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, and surveying
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites.
  • Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and International Building Codes (IBC)
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Strong communication – both written and verbal
  • Experience creating structural drawings/details in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting programs
  • Ability to pursue licensure as P.E. in multiple states required.
  • *Minimum of 3 years of Residential Design Experience. * Required
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and requirements
  • *Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with 7-10 years of practicing experience.* Required
  • Proficiency with industry standard building design software (RAM Structural Systems, Concept, RAM Elements, etc.)
  • Proficiency with building structure design (steel, concrete, wood, precast, etc.)
