Tasks

-Prepare drawings, calculations & models. Review documents prepared by subordinates. -Hold regular team meetings. -Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and play a key role in the development of the company procedures and by an active role in task groups. -Constructing project teams from internal and external resources. -Liaising with client/design team/contractor/authorities. -Procuring project resources -Managing day to day work -Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE. -Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required. -Starting to win business and develop new clients with annual targets to be agreed. -Take part in marketing of practice generally. -Responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of jobs as Project Manager in conjunction with a project director or Associate Director on major/complex projects could take the role of Project Engineer. Core responsibilities include: -Presenting to clients -Negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees where possible. -Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace. -Ensuring QA policy, HSE and CDM requirements are satisfied. -Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites. -Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training -Developing and guiding engineers and design team. -Review and comment on deliverables produced by the team on a regular basis. -Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies. -Preparing client/project proposals for agreement with a Director. -Undertake six monthly performance reviews for their team -Be responsible for leading a team of engineers in conjunction with another associate

What You Bring

-Demonstrates all round technical competence. -Be experienced and competent at: -Ability to represent the practice on the projects under his/her control. -Have a detailed knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working. -On average a minimum of 12 years experience in the relevant field. -Ability to represent 9E at new project interviews. -Ability to develop relationships with Client and Architects. -Be able to motivate and lead professional teams to deliver client solutions. -Chartered Engineering will be an added advantage. -Qualified as Graduate Engineer in Civil/Structural Engineering. -Have a proven record as a Project Engineer on a number of projects. -Have a detailed knowledge of analytical concepts. -Experience in Middle East projects will be highly preferred. -Ability to manage team of 12/15. -Have a good knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment. -Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
