Overview

Inspect, test, maintain fire/life safety systems and perform repairs.

Tasks

-Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule. -Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy. -Encouraging and collaborative team environment. -Complete assigned inspections on time. -Make repairs with minimal supervision. -Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment. -Provide technical training to other inspectors and trainees. -Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop computer.

What You Bring

-Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals. -CFAA Certified or 2+ years documented experience in Fire and /or Life Safety Systems. -Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. -Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements. -Willing to participate in an on-call rotation. -Capable of performing physical labour to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs. -Proficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel / Word as well as iPhone apps. -Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. -Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage. -Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs. -Ability to pass criminal background. -Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures. -Open to the possibility of out-of-town travel and overnight shifts. -Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly. -Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
