(no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa) WRA is currently seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer in our Mechanicsburg, PA Office. The Roadway Engineer will be responsible for working with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects in PA, DE and MD primarily. Anticipated types of projects include intersection and interchange design, new roadway alignments, roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities. The Roadway Engineer will be responsible for the design of horizontal and vertical alignments, development of roadway plans and profiles, roadside evaluation elements, maintenance of traffic design, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and the development of technical reports. -Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program) -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Ability to handle multiple assignments -5-10 years of relevant job experience related to roadway engineering (experience with PennDOT and PTC preferred) -Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD -Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others -Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization -Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) -Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
