Tasks
-Write quality specifications for mechanical and/or structural systems to be incorporated with the technical specifications from MPW Engineering Department. -Obtain Quality Records Packages from Suppliers; review for adequacy and input into MPW Quality Document Control System. -Will be required to train to become Quality auditor. -Write, review, analyze and distribute inspection reports. -Review customer and supplier inspection/test plans, to assure proper witness or hold points are detailed and incorporated into the plan. -Utilize QA/QC principles to maintain high-capacity utilization and optimize manufacturing and service operations ensuring product and service meets customer requirements. -Review technical specifications for procurement to extract quality requirements. -In conjunction with Global Sourcing, monitor/track MPW procurements to ensure quality associated criteria are satisfied. -Determine and monitor the proper application of inspection and test methods to assure product/service conformance. -Perform in-process and final inspections on materials and products including but not limited to structural weldments, machined components, mechanical assemblies and electrical assemblies at suppliers prior to shipment – up to 70% travel. -Conduct and lead Supplier Qualification Audits. -Writes and manages Non-Conformance Reports NCR’s (QN’s) issued as part of the audit process, from initial through Corrective Actions and effectiveness. -Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties. -Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. -Review Supplier procedures for compliance with governing codes, standards and specifications. -Works with team to perform Cross Functional Audits of new or existing Supplier. -Determine appropriate methodology for root cause analysis of quality issues; develop, recommend and implement corrective and preventive action initiatives. -Comply with all EHS policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources. -Support MPW Quality Management System (QMS) processes and communications ensuring customer and corporate satisfaction. -Develop Project Quality Inspection Budgets; monitor and manage adherence.

What You Bring
-Knowledgeable of mechanical systems; skids, pumps, fans, and other standard mechanical/structural systems as found throughout a power plant. Additionally understanding of current welding technology and industry standards, ASME, ASTM, CWB. -Travel up to 25-30% by land and/or air both domestically and internationally. -Application and analysis of QA/QC principles in the manufacture and fabrication of MPW Products. -Understand Power Generation Project Execution Principles, Equipment Vendor Interface and Division of Responsibility -Requires a broad and good understanding of Gas and Steam Turbine Auxiliary equipment, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, SCRs, Pressure Vessels, Electric Generator, structures and materials and Hydrogen equipment manufacturing for use in the power generation industry. -Manufacturing/industrial background: ability to understand quality systems, as established from industry codes and standards. Must be able to interpret drawings for inspection purposes. Must be able to use all standard inspection equipment. Must possess general understanding and knowledge of Power Generation products and services. -Manufacturing/industrial background/knowledge, with the ability to understand quality systems, as established from industry specific codes and standards. -Communicate effectively with all levels of employees. -Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering and/or structural engineering preferred from an accredited college or university; at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess or obtain professional certifications as required, i.e. certified Weld Inspector (CWI), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), etc. -Computer Skills: Knowledge of database, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, etc.
