Tasks

As a liaison between engineering and marketing, the person in this role will ensure product information is translated accurately both within the company and to our external audiences. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Technical Writer develops and manages a variety of content, from manuals to developing training materials and product data sheets. -Create online "how-to" articles and maintain online learning platforms to enhance the customer experience. -Work with larger marketing team to support writing of speaking abstracts and presentations at industry events and conferences to showcase our expertise. -Collaborate with technical support and field teams to develop training and educational materials. -Partner with the larger marketing team to develop materials for new product introductions, including technical messaging and content creation for the Product Support Centers. -Develop "service-focused" social media posts and newsletters aimed at improving customer engagement. -Support the creation of technical datasheets for products, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and technical accuracy. -Create installation guides, quick-start guides and user manuals to ensure accuracy and clarity. -Develop and present technical training presentations for internal teams, customers, and partners. -Write and distribute technical bulletins to keep stakeholders informed of product updates and service-related information.

What You Bring

In broad terms, the ability to create highly detailed technical documentation and explain it clearly and concisely to less technical people is the key to success in this role. -Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms, including online learning systems. -Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a talent for simplifying complex ideas. -Education: BA/BS in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar. Practical experience can substitute for formal degree. -Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences. -Relevant experience: 1–3 years writing technical documentation for physical products, hardware, manufacturing, or field service. -Strong interviewing skills — extract details from SMEs (engineers, testers, product managers). -Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work cross-functionally. -Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. -Customer empathy and ability to translate field pain points into documentation improvements. -Portfolio: Clear writing samples — installation guides, service manuals, quick-starts, datasheets, annotated diagrams. Must include at least one example that shows ability to explain procedures step-by-step. -Keen attention to detail, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency in all content.
