Tasks

-Partner with Solutions Architects, Product Management, and Operations to align firmware capabilities with business goals. -Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. -Mentoring and leading junior team members in proper firmware development and processes -Ensure compliance with coding standards, design principles, and quality benchmarks. -Share knowledge across engineering teams to amplify technical excellence. -Architect scalable firmware systems and frameworks supporting multiple product lines. -Lead development of high-impact features and prototypes for next-generation connected devices. -Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and senior engineers. -Contribute to long-term strategy and technical direction for Lindsay’s embedded systems. -Perform board-level bring-up, system testing, and validation plan execution. -Evaluate emerging technologies and tools for adoption across firmware initiatives. -Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for new and existing products. -Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and architecture evaluations.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems. -Test equipment: oscilloscope, DVM, power supply, JTAG debuggers -Experience with microcontroller families, especially ESP32 and STM32. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. -Digital interfaces and protocols: SPI, I2C, UART -Constrained electronic designs (memory and throughput) -Familiarity with IoT protocols and cloud-native architecture. -10–15+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, including leadership roles. -Compilers and RTOS
