Tasks

Your role will be to support production of contractual, concept, and planning application design material from bid through to final sale. This will include working with the full Catesby team as well as a managing and working with a range of external technical consultants. Our masterplanning work is varied in scale and location in the UK with a generally residential focus. We do on occasions explore large scale commercial development opportunities, so some knowledge in that area would also be beneficial. -Generates excellent design sketches, diagrams, plans, renderings for reports and presentations, and can produce high quality written content.

What You Bring

Catesby Estates Design Team are looking for a talented Full Time Urban Designer to join the inhouse team. You will be working on an exciting range of UK wide design projects from procurement, vision, and promotion through to concept, consultation and on to planning application stages. -Good at time management -Preferably 2+ years of previous experience in professional practice in Urban Design or a related field -Excellent software skills, and proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite. Some knowledge of GIS, Sketchup software would also be useful. -An excellent design portfolio with evidence of working at various scales -A Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s Degree in Urban Design with a background in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning or Urban Design -Confident in presenting and liaising with consultants and our inhouse land, technical and planning teams as well as attending public consultations.
