Tasks
-Ensure that operations are conducted within the design parameters, District 7 RTMC SOP, FDOT policies, and industry standards -Prepare monthly reports of performance measures for Operators and Shift Leaders -Preparing recommended presentation materials, speeches, and public speaking engagements for TSM&O staff and assisting in coaching staff and vendors on handling media and public speaking engagements and inquiries -Participate in RTMC tours and presentations -Provide oversight and work closely as needed as an RTMC liaison for all Incident -Modify training materials as necessary as a result of system and employee performance analysis -Hire, terminate, promote, or evaluate office personnel -Ensure appropriate interagency coordination with other regional TMCs -Attend meetings as directed by the FDOT to include TIM and others as directed -Assist with RTMC public relations activities such as RTMC marketing efforts, tours, and presentations, in coordination with the FDOT Contract Manager and PIO -Participate in Traffic Incident Management (TIM) meetings and ensure appropriate interagency coordination -Ensure adequate Operator staff coverage -Oversee Operator training and certification process -Coordinate, develop agendas, and facilitate various meetings with RTMC staff on an as needed basis -Actively collaborate in the development and update of Operator training and certification materials to conform to updates in the District 7 RTMC SOP -Determine and use existing measures of effectiveness in terms of efficiency and effectiveness in providing transportation management, traveler information, and incident management -Actively collaborate in updates of the District 7 RTMC SOP -Day-to-day management of the RTMC Operations staff and resources, including problem resolution concerning Operations

What You Bring
-Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the operations of a facility similar to the RTMC -High level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint -Ability to write technical reports, manuals, and correspondence -Understanding of TSM&O and traffic engineering principles -Able to always maintain a professional demeanor and appearance -Ability to clearly communicate technical information in layman’s terms -Demonstrated ability to provide formal training to and monitor performance of subordinate staff -Comprehensive knowledge of Incident Management operations -Good understanding of key management concepts -Skilled in the use of Windows operating system -Ability to work alternate work schedules and be on-call 24 hours/day -Good leadership and interpersonal skills -Skilled in the use of advanced traffic management system (ATMS) applications -Ability to coordinate real-time activities and priorities
