Tasks

-Monitor subcontractor work to its completion. -recommend equipment changes and modifications and evaluate new equipment. -Provides written reports as needed. -Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts. -Analyzes equipment breakdowns and propose possible corrective solutions. -Building systems maintenance is part of this role. -Maintain the work area and physical environment in a neat, clean, and orderly condition. -Assists in the development, implementation and coordination of preventive maintenance programs, work methods, and procedures for efficient maintenance and repair activities in the plants and networks. -Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery. -Follow all safety and company policies and procedures. -Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery. -Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, and motors, according to layout plans using hand and power tools. -Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery. -Apply mechanical repair principles and procedures to make sure that machinery runs properly. -Operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment (including district heating and cooling); -Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions. -Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. -Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

What You Bring

-Physically capable of carrying out all aspects of tasks involved -Trouble shooting and problem-solving experience in a medium to large organization -Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse conditions such as extreme weather, enclosed spaces and heights -Planning and organizing skills -Excellent verbal and written communication -Authorized to work in Canada -Building automation and systems; -Energy efficiency solutions and execution of decarbonization roadmaps; -Ability to work with minimal supervision -Have a valid 433A certification -Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings, and qualify for the required security clearance -Five (5) years of experience in an industrial environment -Knowledge of French language can be considered as an asset
