The Role

Overview

Design and analysis of bridge structures as an entry‑level engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Shop drawing review and design services during construction. -Preparation of quantity calculations. -Visual survey and structural observations of existing building structures for rehabilitations/repair projects. -Coordination with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed. -Preparation of construction drawings which include – plans, structural sections, and details. -Load rating of existing bridges. -Preparation of reports and technical specifications. -Preparation and checking of design calculations for bridges and other transportation related structures. -Preparation of construction cost estimates. -Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. -Collection and analysis of data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

What You Bring

-Master's Degree in Civil Engineer with an emphasis in structural engineering -Proficiency with Microstation, OpenBridge, and similar computer software -The preferred candidate would be detailed oriented and have strong skills in structural analysis, steel and concrete design; and the ability to work in a team environment. -Engineer-in-Training (EIT) -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering or related field -Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a willing desire to learn.
