The Role

Overview

Design steel and concrete structures using CADD, develop 3D models and detailed drawings.

Tasks

-Provide field support, including verifications, as-built documentation, and installation supervision. -Communicate and collaborate with project engineers and designers to ensure cohesive design. -Incorporate manufacturer’s documentation into the design process. -Check and analyze 3D models for accuracy, completeness, and interferences. -Perform layout and design of steel and concrete structures from basic data. -Apply advanced CADD and standard design application techniques. -Advise and direct junior drafting personnel. -Create complex detailed design drawings in 2D and 3D from sketches or specifications. -Develop working drawings and 3D models to company and industry standards.

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently and interface with other disciplines. -Associate degree in Drafting/Design/Engineering Technology or equivalent job-related experience (2 years job related experience equivalent to 1 year college). -Excellent presentation and communication skills. -Experience with AVEVA (E3D or PDMS) software is preferred. -Knowledge of Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, and the Microsoft Office suite. -Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Structural packages is essential; AVEVA (E3D or PDMS) software is preferred. -Experience with AWP (Advanced Work Packaging) is a plus. -Demonstrated technical knowledge of civil/structural design practices. -Must have 7 plus years of professional experience in engineering drafting and design.
