Working within the wider Design team you will be an integral part of the delivery of many projects by providing assistance in the following:

  • Monitor design costs and provide design services appropriate to the allowance available.
  • Produce clear and well-presented reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation.
  • Support the delivery of design and assessment in a multi-discipline environment.
  • Prepare design risk assessments.
  • Produce Mechanical design arrangements which are cost effective and meet the requirements of the applicable specifications.
  • Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.

  • Have great communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Successful candidates will need to be flexible and willing to spend time in other offices and sites, this is particularly important to the United Utilities Framework were the Engineering team are required to work at times in or client's offices, primarily in Lingley Mere (Warrington) but also potentially in Preston.
  • Eligible to work in the UK. Unfortunately, this role does not meet the minimum salary requirements for sponsorship.
  • Have the ability to travel to the home office and sites, some of our sites are difficult to access through public transport, meaning a full UK driving licence is preferred.
  • Have achieved or be on track to achieve your Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Some flexibility with hybrid working but graduates are required to be in the office full-time for at least the first year.
