The Role
Overview
Observe and support civil construction projects, ensuring quality, communication, documentation.

Tasks
-Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs as well as moving the whole body such as running, maneuvering, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials -Attend meetings and follow up with other construction representatives and personnel related to scheduling, workforce, material delivery, change orders, RFI, start up, etc. -Perform construction observation and administration on AE2S water reservoir, pipeline, pump station, and treatment facility projects. -Maintain and prepare appropriate files, reports, and records for documentation purposes including daily reports, tracking reports, photos, close out paperwork, and other information related to the project. -Understand and monitor project budgets and follow up on related tasks as assigned; coordinate Change Orders with the Project Manager. -Use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and manipulate or move materials -Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear -Work with Contractors to ensure the project document requirements, process, schedule, and related contractual obligations are understood by Contractors performing work for Owner. -Drive and navigate vehicles or mechanized equipment including but not limited to all-terrain vehicles or watercraft -Represent AE2S in a highly professional and respectful manner at all times. -Monitor and document Contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with plan and specification requirements. -Ensure appropriate communication between the Owner and Engineer to keep all parties updated on progress and quality of the project. -Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic principles

What You Bring
-A.A.S. in fields related to Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying or another related field -Experience observing construction of water or wastewater treatment facility projects -Understand duties and responsibilities under Engineer’s Agreement with the Owner, as well as the Contractor’s Contract with the Owner for each project to ensure obligations and expectations are met. -Regional travel and overnight stay required. -Experience observing construction of 3 or more electrical installations -Strong written and oral communication skills -Experience observing construction of 3 pump stations or well houses -Ability to walk up to 10 miles on uneven terrain -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. -2+ years of construction observation and administration experience -Must be available to work throughout the regional area -May require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 75 pounds
