Tasks

Exercising autonomy in handling intricate technical challenges. Leveraging your technical skills to contribute to the design of hydraulic systems for a spectrum of transportation projects, spanning from bustling urban thoroughfares to tranquil rural roads. Playing an integral role in amplifying our department's reach through active involvement in marketing endeavors and project pursuits. Steering the efforts of engineers and technicians to ensure project success. Working under the guidance of seasoned Project Managers, leading task teams in the design of roadway hydraulic components within expansive roadway projects. Nurturing and guiding junior colleagues, serving as a beacon of knowledge and expertise.

What You Bring

Amount Of Travel Required Experience using OpenRoads Designer. Experience designing and permitting stormwater systems for roadways including rural, urban, and limited access systems. Experience with roadway hydraulic design, including ditches, small pipe culverts, storm sewer systems, outfall analysis, and drainage investigations. Experience using Microstation CADD and Geopak Drainage Software, HY8, HECRAS, HEC1 or HECHMS, ARCGIS. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience with bridge and/or culvert hydraulic design over streams using the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) design guidelines, such as Hydraulic Design Series 5, 7, etc.
