Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer

Description

As a Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer, you will provide expert electrical engineering services to Worley and its customers. In this role, you will lead technical efforts, oversee project execution, and ensure quality and compliance within the electrical engineering discipline. You will play a critical role in driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence across medium and large-sized projects while mentoring and guiding the electrical team.

• Lead and provide technical direction to engineers and designers in executing the electrical scope of work for medium and large projects.
• Work independently on special assignments or collaboratively within a team environment.
• Verify the completeness and quality of work performed, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
• Perform routine and complex electrical engineering, design, analysis, and technical tasks utilizing current technology, standards, and software.
• Estimate required manhours, prioritize tasks effectively, assign work per project schedules, and communicate updates to project management.
• Implement company and client standards and procedures, while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Provide mentorship and professional development support to junior engineers and designers.
• Prepare and review key engineering deliverables, including load lists, power system studies, singleline diagrams, equipment layouts, area classifications, sizing calculations, schematics, equipment specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and technical bid analyses.
• Coordinate with project management and discipline managers to ensure alignment with Worley’s standard practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with agreed codes and practices, contract specifications, schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Maintain a highquality design threshold through adherence to established quality procedures.
